Today we left one of my favorite places so far, the beautiful little town of Maratea. I want to go back someday. The sea was smoother than ever. "It felt like we were cutting through blue jell-o" said Alan.
It was actually a little eire at some parts because there weren't many boats around and the land was hardly visible. Dad and I finished our books
and we all got a nap in.
I wish every sailing day could be this calm.
We radioed into channel 9 as we approached the port of Tropea.
They are very organized and got us right into our spot. The town is like a fortress on a cliff with 200 stairs to climb just to get to it.
We had a great dinner at Don Roccos. After dinner we walked around town. All the shops were open and tons of people were out even at midnight when we headed back to the boat. Tropea is an Italian vacation town.
