Day 35

We were supposed to leave Rome this morning for the next port, but we decided to stay one more day to catch up on stuff like laundry, groceries, trips to the hardware store, etc.

Laundry took us about four hours counting the three hour break between 12:00 and 3:00 when they close for lunch. Luigi really went the extra mile for us today. He was so nice to drive us back and forth to the lavanderia (which was a real life saver in this 100 degree heat) and he even helped us get dinner reservations that night for a good seafood restaurant near the port.

The grocery store trip was also quite successful. We got so much stuff that they let us borrow the carts to get everything back to the boat.

After our jobs were done Linds, Bec, and I got to explore the downtown area near the port and do some shopping, and then we met up with dad for dinner. Dinner was great, and afterwards we walked around town and chatted for a while with Luigi and his friends who were some interesting characters.
