The two most important things we had to do today was service the boat and make it to Genoa in time to meet up with Becca!!
Luckily our appointment was for 9am, we also had a Raymarine guy come out to try and fix our navigation card but it looks like we have a faulty card. That means we just have to rely on the basic nav system instead of the super detailed one until we can get a new card. They told us it would take 12 hours to get to Genoa so we took off as soon as they were done.
We arrived in Genoa about 6:30 which was way faster than we thought. The port is huge and very busy. There seemed to be no spots left but a nice guy at the gas station who worked at the port said we could tie up next to the gas station. He even hooked us up with power through his office.
Our next task was to find Becca. It was a little dicey for a while trying to figure out the best way to find her. We met a guy from Miami who helped us figure out the train and bus schedules, but it turns out all the buses would basically be stopped by the time she arrived. He told us to have her meet us at the scandinavian disco.
Long story, but she finally showed up in a taxi at about 1am. We were all sooo excited to see her and glad she made it. She brought us a lots of things we needed like a BBQ, books, and a new phone for Dad!!
WELCOME BECCA!!!!
