Day 19

We woke up extra early today and started sailing in the morning for Cannes. We arrived at around 9:30 am to another port jam packed with yachts. We found a spot to dock pretty easily this time, got settled, and headed out to explore Cannes. The Palais des Festivals et des Congres (where the International Film Festival is held every year) is located right by the port. Not that exciting when the festival isn't happening. It looks like a boring convention center. The rest of the town is much more exciting.

First stop for the day was the Musee de la Castre. On the way we walked through a little flea market and bought some old postcards. The museum was in the old part of town on top of a hill in an old fort.

There's a tower (190 steps up)

that has a panoramic view of the city.

After the museum we headed back down to the boat for lunch. Lindsay, Mal, and I walked down to the beach to enjoy the sun. Then Lindsay and I walked along Croisette Boulevard which runs along the beach. On the way home we walked through the smaller streets where all of the expensive stores are. We had fun wondering around exploring town. After dinner on the boat, some fireworks started over the water. We're not sure if the fireworks were courtesy of Cannes, or just a rich person with a yacht. Earlier in the day I saw a yacht with a private helicopter landing on it, so we wouldn't be surprised if they could pull of something like fireworks over the ocean. Whoever it was, we appreciated it.

It's so nice for me to have found this blog of yours, it's so interesting. I sure hope and wish that you take courage enough to pay me a visit in my PALAVROSSAVRVS REX!, and plus get some surprise. My blog is also so cool!

Feel free off course to comment as you wish and remember: don't take it wrong, don't think that this visitation I make is a matter of more audiences for my own blogg. No. It's a matter of making universal, realy universal, all this question of bloggs, all the essential causes that bring us all together.

I think it's to UNITE MANKIND that we became bloggers! Don't see language as an obstacle. That's not the point. Pictures talk also. Open your heart and come along!!!!!
