We finally left Toulon!!! Well at least for a little bit. We landed on an island called Porquerolles which is just about an hour and a half from Toulon but we had to get moving or we were going to go crazy.
It was quite an event trying to tie the boat up for the first time. I think the people who were already docked could see the panic on our faces so they helped us out.
Even this short little trip made us feel so much better. We got here about 7:30pm after a long day of chores but it doesn't get dark here until about 10:30 so we took a little walk trough town. I love Porquerolles, it's a cute little resort type island but with lots of character.
It feels like we are on our way—even though we have to go back for the bike and dingy—at least had a little test run.
My dad is still talking in his "French accent" non stop basically. His favorite phrase is "juz a leedle beet" (translation—"Just a little bit")
I can't wait until we get to Italy and the Italian accent emerges.
We ended the day with a little game of Yams (also known as Yatzee).

How do you say the word Porquerolles? I'm imagining it being similar to "Pork Rolls" but I could be wrong.
Yatzee is a good game to play on a Yacht. But I prefer to play with my whirlybird toy.
